The lawyer of blogger Elena Blinovskaya has appealed the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court, which rejected her claim against the Federal Tax Service (FTS) to reduce taxes, fines, and penalties. The appeal has been officially submitted and will be considered by the 9th Arbitration Appellate Court (AAC).
Earlier, on May 17, Blinovskaya's lawyer Natalya Salnikova announced that the Moscow City Court had extended her client's previously imposed preventive measure until May 28. In January 2024, the court changed the measure of restraint for Blinovskaya and her spouse Alexey to house arrest, as the accounts of their companies "Era" and "Redan" were arrested, and no activity could be carried out on them. On May 5, one of the Blinovskaya's companies, which engaged in the extraction of precious metal ores and sands, owned by Alexey Blinovsky, was excluded from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The appeal process will determine whether the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court will be overturned and whether Blinovskaya will be able to pursue her claim against the Federal Tax Service.
