A court in Moscow has fined Russian blogger Dmitry Potapenko 40,000 rubles ($540) for spreading materials online without indicating his status as a foreign agent, according to reports. The Tagansky court of Moscow found Potapenko guilty of committing an administrative offense under article 19.34 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

The court ruling comes amid ongoing crackdowns on individuals and organizations in Russia that are deemed to be foreign agents. Potapenko is a well-known blogger and entrepreneur.
