The renowned Russian artist Mikhail Maltsev has sadly passed away at the age of 75. Maltsev, who dedicated his creative life to the Voronezh Puppet Theater named after V. Volkhovsky, had worked there for over forty years. He was a true master of his craft, portraying numerous roles in both children's and adult repertoire. Maltsev was a reliable partner, a kind and compassionate person, and also appeared in several movies.
Born on June 4, 1950, Maltsev had been serving the children's theater in Voronezh for more than 40 years. In 2003, he was honored with the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. His final performance on the stage was the role of King Lear in a production of Shakespeare's play.
Margareta Voites, a People's Artist of the USSR, has also passed away in Estonia at the age of 87. Born in Moscow in 1936, her childhood was spent in Novosibirsk. After moving to Tallinn, she made her debut on the stage and enrolled in the conservatory. One of her most iconic roles was the title character in Gaetano Donizetti's opera "Lucia di Lammermoor".
