Designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev recently expressed his thoughts on social media regarding the demolition of the "Perm Gates". Reflecting on the cultural revolution that took place in Perm, he stated that the city was once interesting, but now it has become stagnant and nothing happens there.
Lebedev mentioned that Perm, the regional capital of Prikamye, was thriving during the cultural revolution that occurred 10 years ago. However, he lamented that the city has now become lifeless and devoid of any excitement.
The "Perm Gates" structure was built in 2011 near the Perm II railway station. However, it was demolished in June of this year. The remains of the structure were discovered during the construction of a new club. According to reports, a church was originally built on that site in 1857. It was demolished during the Soviet era and replaced with a club.
Lebedev's comments about the state of Perm have sparked discussions about the city's cultural and social decline. Many residents have expressed their disappointment with the lack of development and opportunities in Perm.
