On Saturday night, Selena Gomez attended the Latinas in Hollywood event held in Los Angeles. Gomez showcased her signature style, wearing an all-black ensemble consisting of an oversized black trench coat with a furry collar and black pointed boots. Her freshly chopped black bob completed the look.
The event honored the cast of Emilia Pérez and celebrated ELLE's Women in Hollywood cover stars, including Gomez, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Zoe Saldaña. The film, directed by Jacques Audiard, focuses on Emilia's journey from a powerful cartel leader to a woman embracing her authentic self. Gomez portrays Emilia's former wife.
In an interview with ELLE, Gomez expressed how the bond formed between the cast members while filming. "The sisterhood we developed became our source of strength and support,” Gomez stated. "It continues to be my anchor. I'm grateful that I'm not going through this alone."
Gomez also discussed the significance of the film in her career. She acknowledged the impact it has had on her and reflected on her growth since her Disney days. "Being here with these incredible women, discussing a movie that is powerful, moving, and beautiful, has been a surreal experience for me," she explained. "I didn't anticipate any of this. Each day, I wake up and wonder, 'How did I get here?'"
