Kazakhstan police are searching for blogger Dana Ormanbayeva, who insulted a Russian-speaking resident, on charges of inciting interethnic strife. The investigation began in April 2024 after a complaint was filed by the Russian-speaking resident who claimed that the blogger had threatened and insulted her based on her nationality. The police have also published screenshots of their conversation, in which Ormanbayeva used derogatory language, mentioned the victim's nationality, and threatened to kill her.
According to Kazakh media, Ormanbayeva, who is suspected of inciting interethnic strife, is currently outside the country.
